Professor Wen Yonggang received his Ph.D. degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA, in 2008, his MPhil degree from Chinese University of Hong Kong, in 2001; and his BEng degree from University of Science and Technology of China, China, in 1999. His current research interests include cloud computing, data center, big data analytics, mobile computing, multimedia network and green ICT.
Members
Wang Ruihang received his M.E. and B.E degrees from the School of Precision Instrument and Opto-electronics Engineering, Tianjin University (TJU), China. He is currently a PhD student in Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. His research interests include cyber-physical system and machine learning.
Chen Erdong had extensive experience of managing large Internet companies. He served as Director of Engineering at Twitter. Previously, he was an early-stage team member of Facebook. Chen is also a serial entrepreneur. He holds Master's degree in Computer Science from MIT and Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
Gao Wei received his B.E. degree in Computer Science and Technology from Beihang University in 2019. His is currently a Ph.D. student in the School of Computer Engineering at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. His research interests include GPU cluster management, AI security, distributed training.
Liu Jiabei received her BSc Mathematics degree in 2021 from Nanyang Technological University(NTU). She is currently a Ph.D student in the School of Computer Science Engineering of Nanyang Technological University(NTU) in Singapore. Her research interests include Federated Learning, computer vision, and AI technology.
Cao Zhiwei received his B.Eng in Communications Engineering from Jilin University, China, and M.Eng in Signal and Information Processing from Peking University, China. His current research interests include sustainable data centers and green ICT.
Zhang Bo has over 15 years of experience in software engineering and managing engineering teams in top global technology companies, Google and Facebook. He is also actively involved in the technology startup ecosystem. He holds a MS degree from Stanford University and a BEng degree from Zhejiang University. His research interests lie in applying AI technology in the fields of molecular biology and neuroscience.
Alumni
Yong Luo received the B.E. degree in Computer Science from the Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi’an, China, in 2009, and the D.Sc. degree in the School of Electronics Engineering and Computer Science, Peking University, Beijing, China, in 2014. He was a research fellow in Nanyang Technological University. His research interests are primarily on machine learning with applications on image classification and annotation.
Dr. Lu was a Ph.D. student at School of Computer Engineering, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, from March 2012 to January 2014. After obtaining his Ph.D. degree, he is now a postdoc with Pennsylvania State University, USA
Wei Zhang is currently an Assistant Professor with the Information and Communications Technology Cluster, Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT). Before joining SIT, he was a Scientist at the Agency for Science, Technology, and Research (A*STAR), Singapore. From 2015 to 2017, he was a Research Fellow at NTU, Singapore.
Mr. Gao received his Master's degree from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2012 and Bachelor's degree from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) in 2009. He was a Ph.D. student in the Interdisciplinary Graduate School at Nanyang Technological University (NTU). Prior to that, he worked in Baidu from 2012 to 2013.
Dr. Hu received the Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Automation, Hefei University of Technology (HFUT) in 2014. She was a visiting student in National University of Singapore (NUS) supervised by Prof. Shuicheng Yan, from 2012 to 2014. She was a research fellow in Nanyang Technological University (NTU). Her research interests include multimedia and computer vision.
Fang Liu is currently a lecturer in Singapore University of Social Sciences.
Jiao Yanmei is an Associate Professor in Nanjing Tech University. She received the bachelor degree from Shandong University of Science and Technology, China, in 2007, the master degree from University of Science and Technology Beijing, in 2010, and the Ph.D. degree from Nanyang Technological University, in 2015.
Dr. Zhao received his Ph.D. and BEng degree from Xi’an Jiaotong University, China, in 2013 and 2007, respectively. He was a research fellow at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, from Jul 2013 to Jul 2014.
Mr. Jin received his B.E and M.E degree from Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications (NUPT), China, in 2008 and 2011 respectively. He was a Ph.D. student in the School of Computer Engineering at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. His research interests include cloud computing and content delivery networks.
Vellore Arumugam RAJESH is a Machine Learning Expert in SAP. He worked as Data Scientist on design and development of Big data systems and predictive modeling focused on smart city development and his specialties include Tensorflow, scikit-learn, Keras, Spark MLlib, NLP, Azure ML Studio, Stream analytics, Docker.

Mr. Sun received his Bachelor’s degree in automation engineering from ShanDong University (SDU) in 2012. He was a Ph.D. student in the School of Computer Engineering at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. His research interests include cloud computing, named data network, and big data analysis systems
Dr. DAYARATHNA Miyuru is currently a Senior Technical Lead in WSO2.
Dr. Zhang received the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Zhejiang University (ZJU), China, in 2008 and 2013, respectively. From 2011 to 2013, he worked as a visiting scholar in NC State University, USA. He was a research fellow at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, from Feb 2014 to Jul 2014.
Li Jie was a M.Eng student in the School of Computer Engineering at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. His research interests include wearable devices, reinforcement learning, smart building and energy trading on blockchain.
Yongyi Ran received the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei, China, in 2008 and 2014, respectively. He was a research fellow in Nanyang Technological University from 2017 to 2019.
Ruitao Xie received the B.Eng. degree from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Beijing, China, in 2008, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, in 2014.,She is currently an Assistant Professor with the College of Computer Science and Software Engineering, Shenzhen University, Shenzhen, China. Her research interests include AI networking and mobile computing, distributed systems, and cloud computing.
Jianxiong Yin received the bachelor’s degree from the South China University of Technology, China, in 2009, and the master’s degrees from Yonsei University, South Korea, 2012. He is currently a Deep Learning Solutions Architect with the NVIDIA AI Technology Center.

Ms. Fan Yang obtained her M.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of North Texas (USA) and a double B.S. degree in both Materials Science and Accounting from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (China). After graduation, she achieved over 12 years of experience across the fields of IT, health and medicine, design, research, and entrepreneurship.
Joanna Chen has an M.Sc. in Technopreneurship and Innovation from Nanyang Technological University and a B.S. in Technological Systems Management from Stony Brook University in New York, United States. Prior to coming to Signapore, she worked as a full-time mechanical design engineer and project manager for U.S. public works in the energy performance contract sector.
Dr. ljaz Fazil Syed Ahmed Kabir completed his Ph.D. at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore on the topic” Improvement of BEM analysis to incorporate stall delay effect and the study of atmospheric boundary layer effect on the wake characteristics of NREL phase VI turbine" in 2018. He received his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore in July 2010. Currently, he works as a CFD Building Physics Engineer in Red Engineering Asia Pacific Pte Ltd (part of Engine Impact).
